University of Illinois at Urbana-ChampaignThe College of Veterinary Medicine's Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory does WNV testing on birds and other species and is responsible for the equine serology testing for WNV in the State of Illinois. The College of Veterinary Medicine's Center for Zoonoses Research, the Spatial Epidemiology Laboratory, and the GIS & Spatial Analysis Laboratory are responsible for the mapping and analysis of the West Nile surveillance data. Illinois Department of AgricultureThe Illinois Department of Agriculture's Animal Disease Laboratory in Galesburg, IL conducts testing of birds for the West Nile virus.
