The Illinois Department of Public Health's Division of Infectious Diseases is responsible for West Nile surveillance and provides the human, bird and mosquito data to be found on this site.

The Illinois Department of Public Health's Division of Environmental Health is responsible for environmental investigations and surveillance, including birds and mosquito collections to track West Nile virus activity.

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

The College of Veterinary Medicine's Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory does WNV testing on birds and other species and is responsible for the equine serology testing for WNV in the State of Illinois.

The College of Veterinary Medicine's Center for Zoonoses Research, the Spatial Epidemiology Laboratory, and the GIS & Spatial Analysis Laboratory are responsible for the mapping and analysis of the West Nile surveillance data.

Illinois Department of Agriculture

The Illinois Department of Agriculture's Animal Disease Laboratory in Galesburg, IL conducts testing of birds for the West Nile virus. The Department of Agriculture supplies the equine data found on this site.
