Where do I get the data for the Labs?

All of the data that will be used in this course can be downloaded from the internet. We would like you to download the data into a folder on the c drive named "vp560", from here you can unzip it.

1. Go to "https://maximus.cvm.uiuc.edu/datanode" (Say "Yes" to the Security alert, warning you about the security certificate.)
2. Login to the DataNode with the 'Student' account.
3. Click 'Browse' in the VP560 Node section.
4. Select the lab you are working on.
5. Click the file names to download them to your computer. (Please use 'Save As' and not 'Open')

What is this 'Student' Account?

The 'Student' account is an account on the UIUC GISSA DataNode that we have created for the students of the Spring 2003 VP560 class. You must use this account to access the lab data files for each of your lab assignments.

The username and password are provided in class.
